Amenities

The village itself has few amenities. The ones that are there are more for serving residents in the north east of Wetherby (Ainsty Estate and the Badgerwood area). There is a public house (The Bay Horse), an antique dealer, a church and a football club with club house. There is also a cricket club situated on Mark Lane. The team currently play in the 1st division of the Wetherby League. A Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) also exists within the village, which is home to a thriving population of Great Crested Newts (Triturus cristatus).

There was a large community centre with a sunken sports floor, bar and first-floor mezzanine. This however fell into disrepair and was demolished in 2009. The nearest comparable facilities are at Wetherby and District Social Club on the Sandbeck Industrial Estate.
