Kinver Edge comprisesd 280 acres of land owned by the National Trust and open to the public. To the south of this (in Worcestershire]] is Kingsford Country Park. The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal which runs through the parish is popular with boaters, particularly in the summer months.

Famous quotes containing the words village and/or today:

When a village ceases to be a community, it becomes oppressive in its narrow conformity. So one becomes an individual and migrates to the city. There, finding others likeminded, one re- establishes a village community. Nowadays only New Yorkers are yokels.
    Paul Goodman (1911–1972)

You can make children believe whatever you want, and the children of today are the soldiers and mothers of tomorrow.
Dudley Nichols, U.S. screenwriter. Jean Renoir. Major Von Keller (Walter Slezak)
