Kings Park High School - Bond Project

Bond Project

In 2003, Kings Park Central School District administration proposed a $1,000 bond project for renovating the high school.

Proposed areas for renovation included the junior cafeteria, the roof, the lobby, office areas, a new hallway and additional classrooms on the west side of the school. Approved by a referendum on February 3, 2004, the renovation was scheduled to occur during the 2005-06 school year and the following summer, and is currently finished. Completion of the bond project allowed the high school to accommodate its increasing student population and represented a significant upgrade for the school's physical plant.

Famous quotes containing the words bond and/or project:

They lived under a just and moderate government, and they admitted that one bond of their fidelity was that their rulers were the better men.
    Titus Livius (Livy)

They had their fortunes to make, everything to gain and nothing to lose. They were schooled in and anxious for debates; forcible in argument; reckless and brilliant. For them it was but a short and natural step from swaying juries in courtroom battles over the ownership of land to swaying constituents in contests for office. For the lawyer, oratory was the escalator that could lift a political candidate to higher ground.
—Federal Writers’ Project Of The Wor, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
