2006: The Nova Dream Sequence

Still continuing to dj/produce, King changes his direction a bit and shares his love of techno music with the release of Interpretation under the moniker The Nova Dream Sequence. Released on Munich based label Compost, this record was praised by the legends of techno Derrick May and Carl Craig, including many of the songs in their sets. Derrick even contributed to the liner notes.

Famous quotes containing the words nova, dream and/or sequence:

I’m a Nova Scotia bluenose. Since I was a baby, I’ve been watching men look at ships. It’s easy to tell the ones they like. You’re only waiting to get her into deep water, aren’t you—because she’s yours.
John Rhodes Sturdy, Canadian screenwriter. Richard Rossen. Joyce Cartwright (Ella Raines)

Thus to him, to this school-boy under the bending dome of day, is suggested, that he and it proceed from one root; one is leaf and one is flower; relation, sympathy, stirring in every vein. And what is that Root? Is not that the soul of his soul?—A thought too bold,—a dream too wild.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

We have defined a story as a narrative of events arranged in their time-sequence. A plot is also a narrative of events, the emphasis falling on causality. “The king died and then the queen died” is a story. “The king died, and then the queen died of grief” is a plot. The time sequence is preserved, but the sense of causality overshadows it.
