Kinetic Chain Length With Chain Transfer
In the case of chain transfer, another atom (often hydrogen) is transferred from a molecule in the system to the polymer radical. The original polymer chain is terminated and a new one is initiated. As a result, the kinetic chain length is shortened. Thus, the kinetic chain length is redefined as:
where Rtr is the rate of transfer. The greater Rtr is, the shorter the kinetic chain length.

Famous quotes containing the words kinetic, chain, length and/or transfer:
“The poem has a social effect of some kind whether or not the poet wills it to have. It has kinetic force, it sets in motion ... [ellipsis in source] elements in the reader that would otherwise be stagnant.”

Not ... that I can render the point more than a pointbut that I can startle myself ... into wakefulnessand thus transfer the point ... into the realm of Memoryconvey its impressions,... to a situation where ... I can survey them with the eye of analysis.”
—Edgar Allan Poe (18091849)
