Kill The House Lights

Kill the House Lights is a compilation album by New Jersey rock group Thursday. The album includes many unreleased versions of older songs as well as three new songs. It also includes a DVD with a documentary on the band and live performances. The name of the record derives from a lyric from the song "M. Shepard" from the band's 2003 album War All the Time.

Thursday announced they would be filming a live album on December 27, 2006, at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. They recorded their smaller show at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ the next day.

Famous quotes containing the words kill the, kill, house and/or lights:

    If any of my men kill prisoners, I’ll kill them.
    Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)

    Now I hold Creation in my foot

    Or fly up, and revolve it all slowly—
    I kill where I please because it is all mine.
    There is no sophistry in my body:
    My manners are tearing off heads—

    The allotment of death.
    Ted Hughes (b. 1930)

    I always have felt strange when we came home
    To the dark house after so long an absence,
    And the key rattled loudly into place
    Seemed to warn someone to be getting out
    At one door as we entered at another.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

    Glorious the northern lights astream;
    Glorious the song, when God’s the theme
    Glorious the thunder’s roar:
    Glorious hosanna from the den;
    Glorious the catholic amen;
    Glorious the martyr’s gore:

    Glorious—more glorious is the crown
    Of him that brought salvation down
    By meekness, called thy Son;
    Thou that stupendous truth believed,
    And now the matchless deed’s achieved,
    Determined, Dared, and Done.
    Christopher Smart (1722–1771)
