KLS introduced three memorial lectures to pay tribute to three legal luminaries. These are:

H.R.Khanna Memorial Lecture: H.R.Khanna Memorial Lecture was delivered by Mr.Gopal Subramaniam, Additional Solicitor General of India in 2011 and the event was presided by Hon'ble Justice Ranganath Misra, former Chief Justice of India.

The same lecture for the subsequent year, 2012 was delivered by Justice Dipak Misra

H.M.Seervai Memorial Lecture: Delivered by Hon'ble Justice Satya Brata Sinha, former Judge Supreme Court of India, presided Mr.Bishwabhuhan Harichandan the then Minister of Law, Industries and Rural Development, Government of Odisha.

Justice Y.V.Chandrachud Memorial Lecture:Delivered by Hon'ble Justice Arijit Pasayat, former Judge Supreme Court of India in presence of Prof. Moolchand Sharma, the then Vice-Chairman, University Grant Commission, New Delhi. The same lecture for the year 2009 was delivered by Hon'ble Justice Ramesh Chandra Lahoti, former Chief Justice of India in presence of His Excellency Shri.Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare, Governor of Odisha.

During December 2010, KLS organized many events of international repute including first ever International Law Week and International Victimology Conference.

The International Law Week, a novel initiative of School of Law of KIIT University, was organized with the objective of providing students of law with an opportunity of interaction with some of the global leaders of the legal fraternity. The nine day programme included workshops, seminars; practical exercises and open house discussions with globally reputed legal scholars. The classes were conducted under the guidance of Prof. J. Martin Hunter, Emeritus Professor, KIIT Law School, Bhubaneswar and Nottingham Trent University, U.K. and his team of his past research assistants and alumni of Kings College, London. There were special lectures on all days delivered by eminent personalities from legal and allied fields. Hon'ble Justice A. K. Patnaik, Judge, Supreme Court, Shri Navin Chawla, former Chief Election Commissioner of India, Shri Ashok Parija, Sr. Advocate and Member, BCI, Dr. Sumate Yamnoon, General Secretary, UMAP, Hon’ble Ms. Justice Gita Mittal, Judge, Delhi High Court, Shri Fali S. Nariman, Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India, Lord Justice Mark Oliver Saville, former Judge, Supreme Court of U.K., Mr. Sanjay Wadvani, British Dy. High Commissioner, Eastern India and Shri Ram Jethmalani, Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India were some of the speakers who illuminated the audience. This endeavour of KIIT School of Law, a leading law school in the country set up on the pattern of National Law Schools by KIIT University, was an attempt towards internationalization of legal education as envisaged by the National Knowledge Commission, Govt. of India.

In January 2011, KLS organized the two of the most prestigious moot court competitions, namely 52nd Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (South India Round) 2011 and First BCI International Law Moot Court Competition, 2011.
