History

They were formed in 1952 and joined the Mid-Cheshire League in 1966, followed by the North West Counties League in 1990.

The club won this league twice in 1998 and 2002, when they were promoted to the Northern Premier League First Division and have been playing in that league since then, now named the Northern Premier League Division One South. They have yet to reach the first round of the FA Cup, but did reach the semi-finals of the FA Vase in 1997–98. The current manager is Peter Ward, with his support staff consisting of Melvyn Wilkes (Assistant Manager), Callum Carey (Coach) and Graham Plant (First Aider).

Kidsgrove won the Staffordshire Senior Cup for the fourth time in 2010–11, beating Stoke City 1–0 in the final at Harrison Park, home ground of Leek Town.
