Famous quotes containing the words kids in, kids and/or danger:
“Take two kids in competition for their parents love and attention. Add to that the envy that one child feels for the accomplishments of the other; the resentment that each child feels for the privileges of the other; the personal frustrations that they dont dare let out on anyone else but a brother or sister, and its not hard to understand why in families across the land, the sibling relationship contains enough emotional dynamite to set off rounds of daily explosions.”
—Adele Faber (20th century)
“Wherever theres a fight so hungry people can eat, Ill be there. Wherever theres a cop beating up a guy, Ill be there. Ill be in the way guys yell when theyre mad. Ill be in the way kids laugh when theyre hungry and they know suppers ready. And when the people eat the stuff they raise, and living in the houses they build, Ill be there, too.”
—Nunnally Johnson (18971977)
“Kindness and intelligence dont always deliver us from the pitfalls and traps: there are always failures of love, of will, of imagination. There is no way to take the danger out of human relationships.”
—Barbara Grizzuti Harrison (1941)
