Khulna Division cricket team is a First class cricket team from Khulna Division and has its home ground in Khulna city. In domestic Twenty20 cricket, Khulna has a Bangladesh Premier League franchise known as Khulna Royal Bengal. In football, Khulna Abahani Club played in Bangladeshi top tier football league for several seasons before its relegation in 2008-09 season.
Khulna Divisional Stadium is the only international sports venue in Khulna. It hosts ODIs and Twenty20 International. It Became the 7th Test cricket venue in the country on the 21st of November, 2012. It will also host several matches of the second edition of the Bangladesh Premier League, along with Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Dhaka and MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong.
