Khuda Gawah

Khuda Gawah (translation: God is witness) is a 1992 Bollywood film directed by Mukul S. Anand and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Sridevi (in a dual role), Shilpa Shirodkar and Danny Denzongpa.

Amitabh plays the role of an Afghan (Pathan), who travels between Afghanistan and India.

Khuda Gawah had lavish production values and was extensively shot in India, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bhutan. The film won much acclaim for all its actors and especially the lead pair Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi. Both stars won Filmfare nominations for their work. The film won four Filmfare awards including Best Director and Best Action and went on to become the second highest grossing film of 1992. It entered India's Limca Book of Records as the first Bollywood film to use surround sound technique.
