Funeral
Despite the small amount of time available, funeral arrangements were accomplished successfully. Sayyid Ahmad Tawwaab performed the ghusl while Abu Sa'ud poured the water. Moulvi Sayyid Ahmad and Moulvi Abdul Karim assisted. The Janaaza was prepared, brought outside Masjid un Nabawi, and placed near Babul Jibra'il for Salaatul Janaaza. After Maghrib Salaah, Moulana Shaikh Tayyib, the rector of Madrasa Shari'a, led the Salaatul Janaaza. The Janaaza then proceeded to Jannatul Baqi thereafter. Khalil was buried in his grave shortly before 'Isha Salaah.

Famous quotes containing the word funeral:
“I make it a kind of pious rule to go to every funeral to which I am invited, both as I wish to pay a proper respect to the dead, unless their characters have been bad, and as I would wish to have the funeral of my own near relations or of myself well attended.”
—James Boswell (17401795)
“And whoever walks a furlong without sympathy walks to his own funeral drest in his shroud.”
—Walt Whitman (18191892)
“That poor little thing was a good woman, Judge. But she just sort of let life get the upper hand. She was born here and she wanted to be buried here. I promised her on her deathbed shed have a funeral in a church with flowers. And the sun streamin through a pretty window on her coffin. And a hearse with plumes and some hacks. And a preacher to read the Bible. And folks there in church to pray for her soul.”
—Laurence Stallings (18041968)
