Comments On The June 10, 2006 Simultaneous Dead of Three Guantanamo Detainees

On June 23, 2006 Mustafa wrote about the deaths of the three detainees Mana Shaman Allabardi al Tabi, Yasser Talal al Zahrani and Ali Abdullah Ahmed who died on June 10, 2006 in Guantanamo. Mustafa knew all three men. He said Yasser had invited him to visit him, in Saudi Arabia, once they were released. This suggested to Mustafa that Yasser really didn't commit suicide. Famous quotes containing the words comments, june, simultaneous and/or dead:

    My note to you I certainly did not expect to see in print; yet I have not been much shocked by the newspaper comments upon it. Those comments constitute a fair specimen of what has occurred to me through life. I have endured a great deal of ridicule without much malice; and have received a great deal of kindness, not quite free from ridicule. I am used to it.
    Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865)

    Ask me no more where Jove bestows,
    When June is past, the fading rose;
    For in your beauty’s orient deep
    These flowers, as in their causes, sleep.

    Ask me no more whither do stray
    The golden atoms of the day;
    For in pure love heaven did prepare
    Those powders to enrich your hair.
    Thomas Carew (1589–1639)

    Ours is a brand—new world of allatonceness. “Time” has ceased, “space” has vanished. We now live in a global village ... a simultaneous happening.
    Marshall McLuhan (1911–1980)

    But when once the earth has sucked up a dead man’s blood, there is no way to raise him up.
    Aeschylus (525–456 B.C.)
