Daily Features
The show is well known for its daily features:
- GK Elite, where call-in contestants go head-to-head, given 60 seconds each to answer as many general knowledge questions as possible. A monthly leaderboard charts the daily contestants' success, and the months' winners face each other in a R200,000 (±US$30,000) showdown at the end of the season. The 2007 winner, announced on 7 November, was Reddam House teacher Bridget Bertram.
- Whackhead's Window on the World by Darren Wackhead Simpson, saved as daily podcasts on the station's website.
- Ryan's Character Call, Each day Ryan calls someone as one of his characters (Basil, Jerome, Johan, Wiseman or George). Two other characters, an Indian man named Rah, and a professional racing driver (Kimi) have also been known to make an appearance from time to time.
