Kevin Haskins - Early Career

Early Career

As a child, Kevin Haskins banged on flowerpots and kitchen pots and pans. He eventually moved to bongos and then to drums. It wasn't until Haskins attended a Sex Pistols gig, that he and his brother David J formed a band called the Submerged Teeth. The band was short-lived, but Haskins and J collaborated again in another band which featured guitarist Daniel Ash.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or career:

I don’t believe one grows older. I think that what happens early on in life is that at a certain age one stands still and stagnates.
    —T.S. (Thomas Stearns)

It is a great many years since at the outset of my career I had to think seriously what life had to offer that was worth having. I came to the conclusion that the chief good for me was freedom to learn, think, and say what I pleased, when I pleased. I have acted on that conviction... and though strongly, and perhaps wisely, warned that I should probably come to grief, I am entirely satisfied with the results of the line of action I have adopted.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–95)
