Return To Composing
Harris launched a new official web site containing some of his works. On the web site there was a mention that he may return to composing in 2010. That in fact turned out to be true as Harris released his first composition in six years: Duet for Piano and Oboe in C Major, Op. 30. In late 2010 he released a Klavierstück, Op. 31 and in February 2011 released his Orchestral Fantasy in F, Op. 32. He is now said to be composing an entire soundtrack for an upcoming novel trilogy he is writing called The Elves of Endalia.

Famous quotes containing the words return to, return and/or composing:
“The return to solid values is always hard.... Distress, panic, and hard times have marked our pathway in returning to solid values.”
—James A. Garfield (18311881)
“The emancipation of today displays itself mainly in cigarettes and shorts. There is even a reaction from the ideal of an intellectual and emancipated womanhood, for which the pioneers toiled and suffered, to be seen in painted lips and nails, and the return of trailing skirts and other absurdities of dress which betoken the slave-womans intelligent companionship.”
—Sylvia Pankhurst (18821960)
“If I had my life over again I should form the habit of nightly composing myself to thoughts of death. I would practise, as it were, the remembrance of death. There is no other practice which so intensifies life. Death, when it approaches, ought not to take one by surprise. It should be part of the full expectancy of life. Without an ever- present sense of death life is insipid. You might as well live on the whites of eggs.”
—Muriel Spark (b. 1918)
