Kevin Clarke (politician)
Kevin Mark Clarke is a candidate for public office in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was also one of the most recognizable homeless persons in the city, campaigning on the issues he has advocated for most of his life- "the people's rights". He is the leader of the People's Political Party of Ontario.
Clarke advocates for comprehensive reform in the criminal justice system, to create a system which prevents first-time offenders from entering the vicious cycle that causes many first timers to be repeat offenders. He has proposed a program which reduces the inevitable recidivism which violent prison environments create:'The Inmate Monitored Education System' otherwise known as, which would help eliminate the harmful influence of prison life on first-time offenders.
He also campaigns strongly on the issues of poverty and homelessness.
A former student teacher for Grade 5 at Chester Le Junior Public School in Scarborough in the 1980s, Clarke credits that period in his life as his most rewarding experience.

Famous quotes containing the words kevin and/or clarke:
“Well, on the official record youre my son. But on this post youre just another trooper. You heard me tell the recruits what I need from them. Twice that I will expect from you.... Youve chosen my way of life. I hope you have the guts enough to endure it. But put outa your mind any romantic ideas that its a way to glory. Its a life of suffering and of hardship and uncompromising devotion to your oath and your duty.”
—James Kevin McGuinness, and John Ford. Lt. Col. Kirby Yorke (John Wayne)
“Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugarplums danced in their heads;”
—Clement Clarke Moore (17791863)
