Organization
This Division is divided into two operational troops : West Troop and the East Troop. The two troops operate six regional posts:
- West Troop - Responsible for Region 1 Henderson, Region 2 Franklin, and Region 3 Walton and for providing and coordinating police and other related activities within their defined geographical areas.
- East Troop - Responsible for Region 4 London, Region 5 Morehead, and Region 6 Pikeville and for providing and coordinating police and other related activities within their defined geographical areas.
The agency also has Officers working with Kentucky State Police Special Operations Division that primarily focus on drug interdiction. The division operates the Commonwealth's system of commercial vehicle weigh stations. Their headquarters is located in Frankfort.
