Athletics
The Kent Place School Dragons now compete in the Union County Interscholastic Athletic Conference, which operates under the supervision of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA). Prior to the realignment in 2010, the school had competed in the Mountain Valley Conference.
The Upper School offers teams in basketball, cross country, field hockey, squash, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track (indoor and outdoor), and volleyball. It also has a fencing club, which hasn't reached team status; Middle School teams are available in basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. There are also new turf fields. Physical Education classes are also offered in Middle and Upper School in place of a sport. Physical Education is required in the Primary School and grade six.
