Houses
The School has six houses; School House (Senior Boys House) (founded 1877), Courtenay House (Senior Boys House) (founded 1901), Newton House (Senior Girls House) (founded 1939), Conway House (founded 1975), Marwood House (Senior Girls House) (founded 1983), Russell House (Mixed Senior House) (founded 2002). Conway House is a mixed house for students in years 7 and 8; the remaining houses are for students in years 9 to Upper Sixth.
Due to the increasing need for construction and maintenance work on the School House building, the allocation of pupils to specific school houses has been revised so that the population present in the School House building may be vacated. As of September 2012 there are only 4 senior houses currently in use; School House (Senior Boys; now in the Newton House building), Courtenay House (Senior Boys), Marwood House (Senior Boarding Girls) and Russell House (Senior Day Girls). Conway House (Junior Girls and Boys) remains unaffected.
