Students in kindergarten through twelfth grade are served by the Keansburg School District. The district is one of 31 Abbott districts statewide, which are now referred to as "SDA Districts" based on the requirement for the state to cover all costs for school building and renovation projects in these districts under the supervision of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority.
Schools in the district (with 2009-10 enrollment data from the National Center for Education Statistics) are Port Monmouth Road Intermediate School (626 students in grades PreK - 2), Joseph C. Caruso Intermediate School (245 students in grades 3 and 4), Joseph R. Bolger Middle School (455 students in grades 5 - 8), Keansburg High School (454 students in grades 9 - 12).
