Plot and Synopsis

The Story revolves on twins Lorrea and Lorrinda Guinto (both portrayed by Lorna Tolentino). Lorrea grew up feeling abandoned by her mother (Perla Bautista) who grew more love for Lorrinda, but Lorrea did all she can to save her family from being torn apart a series of events happen she unfortunately gets raped by Francis Ventaspejo (Ricky Davao) whom Lorrea works for the family and lives in the same village and hometown. Lorrea has a child and names him Andrei but in a series of unfortunate events Lorrea loses Andrei and she tries to get her son at all costs a series of events lead her to be blamed for murdering Francis' father but as she is thrown in jail by the powerful family Lorrea, comes face to face with Lorrinda her twin sister this soon becomes an intriguing event Lorrea finds herself at all costs trying for clues on what had happened to Lorrinda, she decides to take her sisters offer on escaping and to be Lorrinda, Lorrea must enter the world of the drug lords and as a step mother and wife to Henri Argos (Edu Manzano) a powerful and influential character, Lorrea turns into Lorrinda or known as the people of the underworld as "Red Butterfly" or "Red" but the world she contrasts her is full of evil, that she is also plunged into meeting a long lost love Borris Archangel (John Estrada) the man that Lorrea, and Lorrinda, once loved. Despite all unnecessary events there is also her son Andrei who now grows up as Yuri Orbida (John Lloyd Cruz) the son adopted by Mirdo Orbida (Ronnie Lazaro) who he grows and loves as a real father only be to known that there is no relation in real life Yuri becomes accepted at a new school in Manila and meets Helaena Argos (Rica Peralejo) at the University, the two meet and form a bond and Helaena falls for Yuri, and as for Kayla (Dimples Romana) Yuri's childhood friend and even crush. Meanwhile, Yuri and his childhood friend Ivan (Jhong Hilario) meet again a few twists happen and Ivan's adoptive mother dies in suicide and Ivan retaliates the situation as he reveals to Lorrea that her son Andrei died. Unfortunately hell breaks lose when Henri Argo's criminal empire is in ruins Yuri saw "Red" kill his adoptive father and vows to get back, Kayla is attacked, and unfortunately the truth is finally revealed about Henri being the drug lord, syndicate, leaving the family penniless, and Helaena heartbroken after overhearing Yuri's true feelings for her and his true love for Kayla, Helaena eventually now takes responsibility for her family and becomes the bread winner she then becomes a prostitute and also is a longtime love of Anilov Mijares (Bernard Palanca). The latter comes to a climax, when Lady Morganna (Jean Garcia) enters the picture Brigitta's evil sister and now Borris' wife she too comes and draws her plans on making "Red"s family all suffer unfortunately Helaena is connected to Anilov and has sessions with him as Miss X an Alter Ego and also works for the Anilov company, Unknown to Yuri is that Dimitri (Johnny Delgado) who was once his professor and taught him law is the one who is also connected to his plans for revenge he eventually grows hate for Anilov, for not stopping his older sister who eventually dies of a use of drugs made by Henri's family. Shocking twists happen after 8 Years a Lorrea is still alive and Lady Morganna's old enemies resuface and Yuri falls for Katrina (Bea Alonzo) Henri's younger daughter who has just finished becoming a lawyer the two eventually fall in love, and Kayla is also successful as well but love and jealousy come into the picture, Dimitri adopts Yuri and takes him under his wing, On the other hand Lady Morganna becomes insane and eventually tries to shoot Lorrea, but shoots Borris instead, and as for Yuri, he is unwilling to forgive Lorrea because there is not enough proof to make him believe she is the real Lorrea and not Lorrinda Lorrea's face is fixed after surgery after the bloody event that caused the killing of Henri the real Lorrinda/"Red Butterfly" is alive she suffered from a head trauma and amnesia after the bombing in the Jail and that Lorrinda then defends her twin and that the series of events that took place will truly reveal that everything was staged and that everything was her fault. Yuri then accepts the truth after winning his case he feels guilty a new series of events happens Helaena and Anilov marry and have a child Lorrea takes care of Alyssa both Lady Morganna and Borris' child Lady Morganna dies in jail and takes full responsibility of all the attempts and killings. Yuri becomes a law lecture in a university he then accepts Lorrea and Francis as his parents and all is forgiven.
