Kappeln (Danish: Kappel) is a town in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated on the north bank of the Schlei, approx. 30 km (19 mi) northeast of Schleswig, and 35 km (22 mi) southeast of Flensburg.
