Kappa Psi Kappa - Purpose

Purpose

The founders wished to create an organization that brought together the community rather than set them apart because of who they are. They believed that each potential member brings with them a sense of individualism and should be judged by his own merits without regard of race, nationality, or sexual preferences. They created this Brotherhood with the hope that men of any color or sexual preference could bond together for the greater of the community. The purpose of Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity is to transform an individual through Brotherhood, cooperation, culture, leadership, patience, and exposure to leading figures. Using these things a true man of this Fraternity may be able to lead the Fraternity into great heights and others into a more profound world.

Famous quotes containing the word purpose:

I have never doubted your courage and devotion to the cause. But you have just lost a Division, and prima facie the fault is upon you; and while that remains unchanged, for me to put you in command again, is to justly subject me to the charge of having put you there on purpose to have you lose another.
    Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865)

Your good mother tells me you are feeling very badly in your new situation. Allow me to assure you it is a perfect certainty that you will, very soon, feel better—quite happy—if you only stick to the resolution you have taken to procure a military education. I am older than you, have felt badly myself, and know, what I tell you is true. Adhere to your purpose and you will soon feel as well as you ever did.
    Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865)

Language, the machine of the poet, is best fitted for his purpose in its rudest state. Nations, like individuals, first perceive, and then abstract. They advance from particular images to general terms. Hence the vocabulary of an enlightened society is philosophical, that of a half-civilised people is poetical.
    Thomas Babington Macaulay (1800–1859)
