Athletics
Kaneland competes in the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference and Illinois High School Association. They have a total of nine Illinois High School State Championships, in football (1997, 1998), boys' track and field (1975, 1977), girls' track and field (1987, 1988), boys' cross country (1987), girls' basketball (1982), and baseball (2011). Kaneland has gone to the playoffs for football twice in the past two school years. (2010-2011, 2011-2012) Both years having gone undefeated in the regular season, obtaining a 9-0 record.
