It does however stop at the main railway station in Kanchanaburi for approx 45 mins to let passengers visit the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. Exit the station and walk to the main road straight ahead. Turn left. walk 5 mins. Across the road to the right is the cemetery.
Close by (across a side road) is the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre a museum about the railway and the prisoners who built it.

Famous quotes containing the words how and/or there:
“It may be tempting to focus on the fact that, even among those who support equality, mens involvement as fathers remains a far distance from what most women want and most children need. Yet it is also important to acknowledge how far and how fast many men have moved towards a pattern that not long ago virtually all men considered anathema.”
—Katherine Gerson (20th century)
“Consciousness is an end in itself. We torture ourselves getting somewhere, and when we get there it is nowhere, for there is nowhere to get to.”
—D.H. (David Herbert)
