Kainos Software Limited is a privately held software company based in Northern Ireland, which provides a wide range of services, including Systems Integration, Enterprise Content Management, Application Management, Cloud Integration and Mobile Computing, as well as consulting services in the areas of IT strategy, business case development, technology sourcing and implementation. Established in 1986, as a joint venture between Fujitsu and The Queen's University of Belfast business incubation unit QUBIS, Kainos was one of Northern Ireland's first campus companies and is currently Northern Ireland's largest indigenous high-tech company. The word Kainos comes from Ancient Greek and stands for "new in quality (innovation), fresh in development or opportunity".

Kainos works closely with its various strategic technology partners, including Microsoft, IBM, Autonomy, Workday, Mediasurface, TIBCO, Kofax and Genesys. Hundreds of local and global companies rely on Kainos’s solutions and services to manage, underpin and improve their businesses, including Fujitsu, G4S, HP, KBC, a large number of NHS trusts, Northgate, NSPCC, SSE, Syniverse and many others. Their customers include substantial organisations across the public sector, healthcare and financial services markets; three core markets that Kainos have particular expertise in. Kainos currently operates in Europe, Middle East and Africa and most recently North America. It has over 400 consultants in several locations, including Belfast and Derry in Northern Ireland, Dublin in the Republic of Ireland, London, Manchester, Bristol and Cambridge in England, Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland, Gdansk in Poland and San Jose in California, US. The company has won many industry awards at both corporate and customer level.
