Judge Roy Scream

Judge Roy Scream is a wooden roller coaster located at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas.

This is a custom built out and back wooden roller coaster designed with families in mind. This attraction sits adjacent to the park's entry lake. Guests visiting Six Flags Over Texas must use a tunnel in the Goodtimes Square section to travel under the park's parking lot entrance road to get to this attraction. The name Judge Roy Scream refers to Judge Roy Bean, as inferred by a sign in the line describing the 19th century Justice of the Peace, and of course the similarity of the two names. Judge Roy Scream was the park's first wooden roller coaster. In 2006, Six Flags over Texas hosted a 45-hour marathon ride on the Judge Roy Scream. There were a total of 19 contestants; ten from ACE (American Coaster Enthusiasts) and nine radio contestants.

Famous quotes containing the words judge, roy and/or scream:

Our chaotic economic situation has convinced so many of our young people that there is no room for them. They become uncertain and restless and morbid; they grab at false promises, embrace false gods and judge things by treacherous values. Their insecurity makes them believe that tomorrow doesn’t matter and the ineffectualness of their lives makes them deny the ideals which we of an older generation acknowledged.
    Hortense Odlum (1892–?)

I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched seabeams glitter in the dark near the Tennhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die.
David Webb Peoples, U.S. screenwriter, and Ridley Scott. Roy Batty, Blade Runner, final words before dying—as an android he had a built-in life span that expired (1982)

Instead of the scream of a fish hawk scaring the fishes, is heard the whistle of the steam-engine, arousing a country to its progress.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
