JSA: The Liberty Files - Critical Reaction

Critical Reaction

Collected Editions website reviewer Simon Finger praises JSA: The Liberty Files's Tony Harris for his artwork, which conveys "the subtle emotional beats of the story as effectively as he does the action sequences." He writes that " Jolley and Harris capably integrate the character development into the action," and that the book might appeal even to those not well-versed in the DC Universe characters.

Famous quotes containing the words critical and/or reaction:

Much of what contrives to create critical moments in parenting stems from a fundamental misunderstanding as to what the child is capable of at any given age. If a parent misjudges a child’s limitations as well as his own abilities, the potential exists for unreasonable expectations, frustration, disappointment and an unrealistic belief that what the child really needs is to be punished.
    Lawrence Balter (20th century)

Children, randomly at first, hit upon something sooner or later that is their mother’s and/or father’s Achilles’ heel, a kind of behavior that especially upsets, offends, irritates or embarrasses them. One parent dislikes name-calling, another teasing...another bathroom jokes. For the parents, this behavior my have ties back to their childhood, many have been something not allowed, forbidden, and when it appears in the child, it causes high-voltage reaction in the parent.
    Ellen Galinsky (20th century)
