The Journal of Clinical Investigation is a monthly peer-reviewed open access scientific journal. Its 2010 impact factor was 14.152. The journal was established in 1924. The editorial board is unusual in that its members are located chiefly at a single academic medical center. Its leadership changes every five years: As of March 2012, the editor-in-chief is Howard Rockman. From March 2007 to March 2012, the editor-in-chief was Lawrence Turka.
