Josh Ramsay - Vocal Range

Vocal Range

There is no formal classification of voices for pop music. That said, however, Josh Ramsay has a considerably wide vocal range, from D3, or a D below middle C in live performances of "Beside You" and as high as tenor D (two D's above middle C) in his live performance of Cross My Heart. Ramsay has been known to use his falsetto, one of the reasons for his extended vocal range, and much of his earlier music with Marianas Trench from albums "Fix Me" and "Masterpiece Theatre" and some of his newer music with "Ever After" has implemented screaming.

Famous quotes containing the words vocal and/or range:

If I feel strongly, I say it. I know I can do more good by being vocal than by staying quiet. I’d have a whole lot more money if I lied, but I wouldn’t enjoy spending it.
    Martina Navratilova (b. 1956)

During the cattle drives, Texas cowboy music came into national significance. Its practical purpose is well known—it was used primarily to keep the herds quiet at night, for often a ballad sung loudly and continuously enough might prevent a stampede. However, the cowboy also sang because he liked to sing.... In this music of the range and trail is “the grayness of the prairies, the mournful minor note of a Texas norther, and a rhythm that fits the gait of the cowboy’s pony.”
—Administration in the State of Texa, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
