Jonathan Swain

Jonathan Swain (born 1973 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire) is a TV presenter. He is a graduate from the University of Kent, and alongside his studies he also worked as a reporter for BBC Radio. At the age of 21 he became a reporter for Westcounty Television, based in North Devon bureau. He went on to work as a reporter and presenter for Central News based in Oxfordshire whilst also working for ITN where he produced news reports for the national news bulletins.

From September 2001 to September 2010, he was a senior correspondent on GMTV. Swain covered some of the world's biggest news stories and events for GMTV. He reported from Baghdad during the period Saddam Hussein was toppled from power and has also broadcast live with British troops from the front-line in Afghanistan. He was often seen reporting on a variety of stories that range from business and consumer issues, politics, showbusiness and major news stories. Jonathan Swain had been GMTV's main Correspondent at many sports events including the football world cup in Germany and the rugby world cup in Paris.

Since September 2010, Swain is a Senior News Correspondent on ITV Breakfast programme Daybreak.
