Johannes Steen

Johannes Wilhelm Christian Steen (22 July 1827, Christiania - 1 April 1906, Voss) was a Norwegian politician, Prime Minister of Norway from 1891 to 1893 and from 1898 to 1902.

Steen's final administration was responsible for the 1902 Land Sales Act, that limited the buying of leasing of state land to fluent Norwegian speakers, barring the Saami people from the purchase of their traditional hunting and grazing grounds.
