Club Career

Dunne began his career at Gillingham, where he made 115 league appearances in six years at Priestfield. He joined Colchester United in 1996 and played for the club 193 times over two stints, separated by a brief spell at Dover Athletic in 1999. He retired from playing at the age of 29 when a knee injury ended his career in 2003, having made nearly 280 league appearances in a 13 year career.
