Jinx had a brief cameo in the 2009 film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, in which she is seen at the Pit training in a blue camouflage suit against other Joe staff members, then later during General Hawk's speech to the supporting Joes in The Pit before the Alpha Team attack the Cobra base.
In June 2011, Elodie Yung was cast as Jinx for the upcoming film's sequel, G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013). In December, Jinx was shown in the first promotional pictures and a trailer, shown either fighting or sparring against Snake Eyes while clad in red and blindfolded, and (in one of the trailer's "key scenes", according to MTV) together with him fighting against the Red Ninjas while wearing a black and yellow suit. A French theatrical poster shows Jinx among the Cobra characters.
