Post-retirement

Greenhoff suffered a financial crisis in 1996 following a failed insurance venture, and took up work in a warehouse, refusing to sell off his FA Cup winners medal. The crisis came about after discovering that his friend and business partner of nine years had been conning him out of large sums of money. He later worked at a pharmaceutical company in Stoke-on-Trent.
