Musique Originale du Film Jimi Plays Berkeley (literally translated to Original Music of the Film Jimi Plays Berkeley) is the soundtrack to the 1971 film Jimi Plays Berkeley by Jimi Hendrix, released in France in 1975 by Barclay Records. Though a soundtrack to Hendrix's performance at Berkeley Community Theatre on May 30, 1970, only two songs on the soundtrack come from this performance; the other tracks are from different concerts and studio versions.

Famous quotes containing the words plays and/or berkeley:

I lay my eternal curse on whomsoever shall now or at any time hereafter make schoolbooks of my works and make me hated as Shakespeare is hated. My plays were not designed as instruments of torture. All the schools that lust after them get this answer, and will never get any other.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

It seems, Euphranor..., that there is nothing so singularly absurd as we are apt to think, in the belief of mysteries; and that a man need not renounce his reason to maintain his religion. But if this were true, how comes it to pass, that, in proportion as men abound in knowledge, they dwindle in faith?
    —George Berkeley (1685–1753)
