Jim Tressel - Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts

On September 2, 2011, Tressel was hired by the Indianapolis Colts as a consultant. Tressel was suspended by the Colts until the 7th game of the season due to his involvement in the NCAA violations during his tenure as head coach at Ohio State.

On January 26, 2012, it was reported by the Detroit Free Press that Tressel had two separate interviews with Colts' owner Jim Irsay about the vacant head coaching position to replace Jim Caldwell, who was earlier fired. However, Tressel was ultimately passed over for Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano.
