Student Life
Every working day, college activities begin at 8:15 a.m., when all students must assemble in proper school dress. Boys' dress consists of white shirt, blue pants, and black shoes; girls wear navy kameez, white salwar, and white Keds or black shoes. Students wear epaulets corresponding to their "house" at the college (Michael Madhusudan Dutta, Kazi Najrul Islam, or Jasim Uddin). The classes start at 8:30 p.m. The houses are overseen directly by teachers; a disciplinary committee handles discipline of the college as a whole.

“Had Dr. Johnson written his own life, in conformity with the opinion which he has given, that every mans life may be best written by himself; had he employed in the preservation of his own history, that clearness of narration and elegance of language in which he has embalmed so many eminent persons, the world would probably have had the most perfect example of biography that was ever exhibited.”
—James Boswell (174095)
