Early Life and Playing Career
Kill was born in Cheney, Kansas. He was raised in a "working class family" and became the first member of his family to graduate from college. He earned a bachelor's degree in education with a minor in biology from Southwestern College in 1983. At Southwestern, he played football under Phil Hower and Dennis Franchione.
