Jeremy Stone - Personal Life

Personal Life

Dr. Stone is the son of journalist I. F. Stone, and Esther Stone, and nephew of journalist and film critic Judy Stone. He resides, with his wife B. J. Stone, in Carlsbad, California.

The Stanford-based professor and hero of Michael Crichton's 1969 novel and movie The Andromeda Strain is named "Dr. Jeremy Stone." Dr. Stone himself was in Stanford in 1969 but unlike the fictional character was studying post-graduate economics, not biology. There is also a comic strip hero with the name Dr. Jeremy Stone, whose alter ego is the superbly muscled Maul.

Famous quotes related to personal life:

The dialectic between change and continuity is a painful but deeply instructive one, in personal life as in the life of a people. To ‘see the light’ too often has meant rejecting the treasures found in darkness.
    Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)
