Jeremy Coller

Jeremy Coller (born 17 May 1958) is a British financial executive. He is CEO and CIO of Coller Capital, a British private equity firm, which he founded in 1990.

For over 20 years, Coller has played a key role in the evolution of the secondary market for private equity. In 2012, Coller was recognised as one of the 20 most influential people in private equity over the last decade by Private Equity International (PEI), and by Real Deals magazines. He was also voted one of the most influential people in European financial markets and private equity by Financial News magazine. In 2009, Coller won PEI’s ‘Private Equity Leader’ award.

Coller's early career was spent as Head of Research at Fidelity International and as a sector fund manager at ICI Pension Plan, where he was an early investor in Dayton Carr's Venture Capital Fund of America, an early secondaries firm.

In 2008, Coller established the Coller Institute of Private Equity at London Business School with a multi-million pound commitment from the J Coller Foundation. This helped create the world’s leading institute for PE education and research.

Coller attended Carmel College. He holds a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Sussex, and a Bachelor's degree from Manchester University School of Management. He also took the Diplome Cours de Civilisation at the Sorbonne. In 2011, Coller was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the London Business School.
