First published in 1996, Jeff Gulvin has been full time since 1997. To date he has not enjoyed the commercial success the quality of his work deserves and has had no option but write under another name and work as a ghost for other people. As Adam Armstrong he wrote two novels published in English: Cry of The Panther and Song of The Sound. These titles enjoyed huge success in Holland and De Boekerij subsequently edited and published three more novels, none of which was published in English.

In 2007 Jeff ghosted Long Way Down, the account of a motorcycle trip from John O Groats to Cape Town, by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman. Long Way Down was the most successful travel book of 2007, also the biggest selling book of the year for publisher Little Brown and subsequently won best non fiction book of the year at the Galaxy British Book Awards. Since then Jeff has completed two more books for Charley Boorman. Recently he assisted James Corden with his autobiography and is writing another book for Charley Boorman - Extreme Frontiers.

Song of the Sound - the second of his novels written under his great grandfather's name Adam Armstrong is being made into a motion picture by Tam Sainsbury and Blackrock Films, Australia.
