Jeet Ganguly

Jeet Ganguly (born Chandrajeet Ganguly Bengali: চন্দ্রজিৎ গাঙ্গুলী), popularly known as Jeet, is a [ composer and singer for Tollywood and Bollywood movies. Born of a distinguished family with a rich cultural heritage in Kolkata, Jeet Ganguly was initiated into the world of “SUR” “LAYA” and “TAAL” at a tender age of three. Jeet has been trained in Indian Classical Music under the guidance of his guru and father- Sri Kali Ganguli, a well-known musician in Calcutta. On the other hand, his bond with Western Classical, jazz and rock was shaped and nurtured by the famous Jazz guru and Guitarist- Karlton Kitto. Absorbing the best of these two streams of music, Jeet today is a successful MUSIC DIRECTOR in Mumbai, scoring music for films, with the unbeatable combination of melody and new age sounds.

Jeet got his first break when Sanjay Gadhvi was signed on to direct Tere Liye and he, in turn, signed on his friends Jeet and Pritam as music composers. In 2002 Yash Raj Films signed Gadhvi up to direct Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, for which the Jeet-Pritam duo composed the music. Now he is back in Hindi Bollywood Music with new avatar : JEET GANNGULI.

After the duo parted ways, Jeet has started scoring music for Hindi and Bengali films, TV serials and jingles.
