Jazz Reggae Festival @ UCLA - Going Green

Going Green

2007 also marked the year that the JazzReggae Festival @ UCLA put forth an active effort to be as environmentally sustainable as possible. Since 2007 the festival has run their stage from bio-diesel fuel, partnered with environmentally forward thinking companies such as Eco Limo, printed their flyers and other promotional material on recycled paper, and included an informational booth on site in which audience members can learn more about ways to be environmentally responsible.

Famous quotes containing the word green:

    Be the green grass above me,
    With showers and dewdrops wet;
    And if thou wilt, remember,
    And if thou wilt, forget.
    Christina Georgina Rossetti (1830–1894)

    There was an old man lived out in the wood,
    His trade was a-cutting of Broom, green Broom;
    He had but one son without thrift, without good,
    Who lay in his bed till ‘twas noon, bright noon.
    Unknown. Broom, Green Broom (l. 1–4)
