Jay Kennedy - Book

Book

He was the author of The Official Underground and Newave Comix Price Guide (Boatner Norton Press, 1982), a guide to underground comics of the 1960s and 1970s. Much of the information in that book was based on Kennedy's personal collection of alternative comics, later donated to the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum.

Famous quotes containing the word book:

It is no great art to say something briefly when, like Tacitus, one has something to say; when one has nothing to say, however, and none the less writes a whole book and makes truth ... into a liar—that I call an achievement.
    —G.C. (Georg Christoph)

The trouble with writing a book about yourself is that you can’t fool around. If you write about someone else, you can stretch the truth from here to Finland. If you write about yourself the slightest deviation makes you realize instantly that there may be honor among thieves, but you are just a dirty liar.
    Groucho Marx (1895–1977)

The Indian attitude toward the land was expressed by a Crow named Curly: “The soil you see is not ordinary soil—it is the dust of the blood, the flesh, and the bones of our ancestors. You will have to dig down to find Nature’s earth, for the upper portion is Crow, my blood and my dead. I do not want to give it up.”
