2004 Election Campaign
In 2004 Jason ran for the same 32nd District Missouri House of Representatives seat that he is running for in 2006. In 2004, Jason ran against three term incumbent State Representative Susan Phillips.
Although Jason did not win this hard fought election, he was only defeated by 224 votes out of nearly 20,000 cast, a 50 to 49 percent outcome. This was the closest Missouri State Representative election in the 2004 general election.

Famous quotes containing the words election and/or campaign:
“He hung out of the window a long while looking up and down the street. The worlds second metropolis. In the brick houses and the dingy lamplight and the voices of a group of boys kidding and quarreling on the steps of a house opposite, in the regular firm tread of a policeman, he felt a marching like soldiers, like a sidewheeler going up the Hudson under the Palisades, like an election parade, through long streets towards something tall white full of colonnades and stately. Metropolis.”
—John Dos Passos (18961970)
“Now, Mr. President, we dont intend to trouble you during the campaign but after you are elected, then look out for us!”
—Susan B. Anthony (18201906)
