Hon'ble Shri Justice Mahesh Mittal Kumar was appointed as the Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court following the elevation of Justice F M Ibrahim Kalifulla to the Supreme Court. However, in the buffer period, Justice Virender Singh served as the Acting Chief Justice.
