Early Life
Rickers was born in Chelmsford, Essex, and grew up in Burnham-on-Crouch. He attended St Peter's High School in Burnham.
Leaving school aged 16, Rickers joined the Colchester Institute School of Music and Drama, studying for his Music Foundation A-level. He gained a BA Honours Music degree in 1996.
Jamie has two sons with his partner.
