Political Career
McGrigor fought the Argyll and Bute constituency in the 2005 general election, finishing second, and fought the equivalent seat in the 2007 Scottish parliament election, finishing third.
He has served as spokesman for fisheries for the Scottish Conservatives and is currently their spokesman on communities and sport. He is also an Honorary Vice-President of English-Speaking Union Scotland.
